264 “Low Max” Records Broken or Tied During First Ten Days of September

That’s right. 183 “Low Max” (which means the maximum temperatures for the day was the lowest it has ever been) records were broken, and 63 were tied. Some of the records were broken by an astonishing 16F!! These records were broken all over the United States, from Texas to Pennsylvania to Oregon, and even Montana! Big signs of an early and frigid winter!
