June Snow in Montana, Utah, and Wyoming

The weather this year has been “interesting” to say the least, and it doesn’t look like it is getting warmer.  Experts have already spoken, and it looks like next year could be even colder than 2013-2014.  In June alone, the midwest saw storms that it hadn’t experienced since the early 1900s.  Nine inches of snow was estimated at Gunsite Pass, Wyoming, and nine inches of snow was recorded in Alta, Utah on June 17, 2014, due to a “band of lake-effect precipitation formed off the Great Salt Lake early Wednesday, an oddity for June.” Read more about it here on Weather.com:
