California Snowpack Deepest in Five Years!

So, the good news is that California has benefited widely from El Niño rainstorms in both its reservoirs and snowpack. In fact, the current snowpack is the deepest it has been in 5 years. Experts say it is too early to determine, but this could be a good sign for California’s drought.  They will be performing a series of tests in the coming month of February, in hopes of finding exactly how much water is actually in the snowpack.  If this snowpack is in fact the beginning of a trend, expect more brutal winter weather (El Niño isn’t done just yet), which in turn means some serious skiing! So, what are you waiting for… grab your warm core, your skis and hit the slopes!
